the inspiration for deseta’s prints & patterns comes from the very distinct and stylized look of ethiopian art. from the marked symbols and motifs found in its magic scrolls to the geometric patterns found in traditional dress, crosses and paintings (a style found all over africa as well, known as the “african fractal”), deseta has taken this style and has given it a very modern and contemporary twist. and in new products soon to come, you will see how you can bring this style into your own home, too.
